HOW DOES IT WORK?

Schools that agree to partner with us and be apart of our Challenge network will be assigned a technology professional to support their program and to help students learn today’s coding languages.  After each school completes their mini-hackathon, the winning team will work hand-in hand with the Tech Mentor to begin solving the next city-wide challenge.

EACH PARTNER SCHOOL WILL BE ASSIGNED A TECH MENTOR

SEMESTER CHALLENGE FOR GOOD

Semester Challenge for Good is a “club competition concept” that pairs motivated high school students with industry-experts/mentors and local non-profits to solve a pressing issue or business problem that will impact the broader community.  Local technology mentors are assigned to a school.  Each school will create a club made up of students interested in learning to code.  Each school will hold a small competition and the winning team will proceed to compete against other students from across the city for more prizes, cash and the potential to secure a technology summer internship.

WHAT IS SC4G?

The Semester Challenge for Good is a component program of the Community Foundation for Financial Literacy.  Our mission is to ensure that students and families know the benefits of education, careers and financial capability.
